About Elisa

In addition to teaching yoga and meditation, Elisa has over a decade of experience in marketing, advertising, television production and graphic design. She worked in corporate advertising for the bulk of her career prior to teaching yoga exclusively, but also spent time as a legal assistant and stay-at-home mom. While working full-time and raising her children, she discovered meditation as a way to help balance mental/physical health, busy schedules and strong emotions. Elisa connected with these practices instantly and started attending sessions weekly in addition to silent retreats and other meditation based events. Eventually she was informally trained on how to help lead retreats, assist with various meditation postures and moderate discussions surrounding meditation themes and texts. Simultaneously, she enrolled in her first yoga teacher training after a few years of devoted physical practice and was hired to teach classes immediately upon completing the certification program.

After years of balancing corporate life, commuting and teaching multiple classes a week, she made the leap and opened Wild Soul Yoga Studio in Middletown, NY (2014). The studio attracted a beautifully diverse community and was beloved by it's many regular students and talented instructors until Elisa decided to close Wild Soul 6 months into the Covid -19 pandemic (2020). Since then, she has maintained various teaching and trainings in order to stay current and active in the community. Elisa now teaches private classes at her home studio or on location, studio classes at Happy Buddha Yoga in Goshen, occasional online classes and special events.

Elisa is an avid music lover, averaging over 30 live concerts and music festivals every year, with a focus on Indie/Folk music but does not limit her tastes and takes pride in keeping current with emerging artists and sounds. Her other hobbies and passions include beekeeping, gardening, reading and taking care of her mini-homestead with  hens, roosters, gardens, wildflowers and more. She also enjoys photography, road trips, hiking, scratch cooking/baking and being outdoors all year round.

Family is her greatest joy, Elisa is honored to be called mom by her 3 wonderful children. She truly savors every day and appreciates the delicate balance of life after suffering the loss of her husband in 2016, followed by the deaths of her step-father, her best friend and her biological father, all in a matter of a few grief-filled years. These days she takes nothing for granted as she enjoys a simpler life with her partner, Bryan, who has been a friend for over 25 years and with whom she welcomed a sweet little baby into the world in 2020. Becoming a mom for a third time (now in her 40's) and starting over in many ways, has been a true joy after years of heartache. Together (and with so much love) they run their little homestead, travel and support one another in their pursuits of projects and interests.
